As I thought about this question, one may read the question as a “loaded” question just as one may asked how has the East Coast and West Coast affected American politics.
It is true that every region has attracted certain people group or individuals with certain values to a region. For the Southwest, the Hispanic are drawn to that region while Asians were 50 years ago the the West and East Coast. The Bible has been taught as a foundation for reading since the founding of this nation. The Eastern and Western Coast with their Ivy colleges and universities were the first to become more liberal in their views of life while the central part of the country continue in their views of the Bible. Today that is changing as migrations of Northerners or West Coast individuals moved into the Bible Belt bring their values with them.
The 2020 election will reflect a greater diverse people in the Bible Belt whereby one day it may no longer be the Bible Belt. The older generation is passing and a new generation of Christians, immigrants, and migration within the United States will change the local, state, and federal laws and values for the whole country.
I do uphold the value of the unborn babies as that values reflect the image of God in every person and the value of each person that will contribute to our society. It is almost unheard of that a country would approve the termination of an unborn without considering the life in the womb of a woman. Will abortion be an issue in 2020? Will the pandemic be an issue in 2020? Will BLM and Cancel Culture be an issue in 2020 election? Will the residences of the Bible Belt and the rest of America vote for Trump or Biden? One’s value determines a course of action. We may be seeing the end of this Great Republic as we descend into socialism.
SUMMARY: The 2020 election may be the focal point of our nation as its citizens determine the moral value for our society. The Bible Belt will have some to a great impact on the destiny of the United States of America. Your vote will count as each citizen’s vote will count on the impact of our nation’s destiny.
