I have lost count of the multiple versions of the Bible.
If one wants a Bible version to read, I would recommend The New English Version. If one wants to do a more critical Bible study, I would recommend the New American Standard Bible or the New International Version for Bible studies. For critical study, I would recommend a translation of the Hebrew/Greek text into the English text as the NASB-NIV Parallel New Testament in Greek and English.
