Thank you for the question on the purpose of the Bible, “Is the purpose of the Bible to explain how the creation, fall, and redemption will ultimately culminate in a new creation?”
The ultimate purpose of the Bible is to reveal the glorious presence and magnificent essence of God through his creation of the Universe.
The Apostle Paul in his exaltation of God says this in Romans 11, “Oh, the depth of the riches of the wisdom and knowledge of God! How unsearchable his judgments, and his paths beyond tracing out! 34 “Who has known the mind of the Lord? Or who has been his counselor?” 35 “Who has ever given to God, hat God should repay them?” 36 For from him and through him and for him are all things. To him be the glory forever! Amen” (NIV).
Paul further states this in Ephesians 1, “In him we were also chosen,[e] having been predestined according to the plan of him who works out everything in conformity with the purpose of his will, 12 in order that we, who were the first to put our hope in Christ, might be for the praise of his glory. 13 And you also were included in Christ when you heard the message of truth, the gospel of your salvation. When you believed, you were marked in him with a seal, the promised Holy Spirit, 14 who is a deposit guaranteeing our inheritance until the redemption of those who are God’s possession—to the praise of his glory” (NIV).
The phrase, to the praise of his (God’s) glory is cited twice in the above passage. The purpose of God is more than the restoration of fallen mankind into the new creation, but that the redeemed people will magnify God for his astonishing grace and mercy to undeserving people.
Summary: The purpose of God is theocentric, not anthropomorphic center.
