Thank you for the question on belief of Exodus 21:22–25, “How many people still believe in the Exodus 21:22–25 that is in the Bible?”
The number of people who still believe or affirm equal justice is 100%. Exodus 21:21–25 is the heart for equal justice under the law.
In the heart of every victim, there is a cry for justice when s/he is a victim of a crime or injury. Victims of families cry out for justice when their loved one is murder. Business owners cry out for justice when looters or demonstrators burned down their business without any prosecution at all. Thieves can sue the homeowner for injury when they are defending their family or property. Justice is denied in many cases.
Exodus 21 gives the broad principles for equal justice. There is a court whereby both the defendant and the accused are able to present their case. The judge or priest will decide the verdict and justice will be applied. It is important to note that if a false witness caused harm or death, that witness faces the same consequences that was afflicted on the innocent victim.
The judge or priest is to execute justice before God and apply it to the cases brought before them. The judge is not to be bribed or swayed by the status of the individuals whether rich or poor. The law is equally applied to whomever if it is brought before him.
Summary: Our democracy is rooted in Exodus 21:21–25. Everyone believes in equal justice under the law.
