Question: Why do many people not believe the gospel?

Thank you for the question on the disbelief of the Gospel, “Why do many people not believe the gospel?”

Here are three main reasons why people do not believe or accept the Gospel anymore:

A. Science is now the foundation of one’s beliefs and value, not the Bible. Many people has accepted the teaching that mankind is an evolved being, not a created being. The natural conclusion is that God does not exist. Thus there is no need of salvation from anything or from anyone.

B. Science has challenged the historical accuracy of the Bible. Archaeologists and geologists have questioned and disputed the biblical record of people and places of the Bible. For example, the historicity of Jesus and the Apostles are called into question due to the lack of extra-biblical confirmation from non-Christian sources. If there is no Jesus, then there can be no salvation.

C. Science has taught that every baby born in this world is innocent or good. The problem of evil is not mankind himself, but the environment. If one raises a child in a loving environment, the world would be a better place. The problem is with the environment, not the sinful nature of humans. Thus, the gospel of salvation is not from sin, but of the environment. There is no need of personal salvation from evil conduct. It’s the environment.

I don’t personally believe in that viewpoint, but that is the general viewpoint of many people.

Summary: Society has already made a tectonic shift from a religious viewpoint of life to a scientific viewpoint of life.
