Thank you for the question on the Bible, “What scripture do you question in the Bible, and why?”
As a Christian, I wish the Bible would provide greater details for my understanding. It is not that I have doubts about the Bible. I believe it is the Word of God.
As I read Genesis 1:3–4, I wonder what is the “light” that God called into existence. That light is different in my opinion from the light from the sun or from the stars. God called this light, “Day” and the darkness, he called, “Night”.
As physics and astronomists search beyond the Big Bang or consider what was there before the Big Bag, will they see the “glory” of God as light? I like to think so but the text is unclear. Wouldn’t it be something that physics would conclude that there was something or someone that caused the Big Bang? Would man eventually be able to “detect” God even as the angels see only the Brilliance of God? Wouldn’t that be something!
