Yes, God not only could but would take every believer upon the return of Jesus Christ!
I. The Resurrection and Ascension of Believers to be with Jesus.
I Corinthians 15 says this about believers, “I declare to you, brothers and sisters, that flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God, nor does the perishable inherit the imperishable. 51 Listen, I tell you a mystery: We will not all sleep, but we will all be changed— 52 in a flash, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet. For the trumpet will sound, the dead will be raised imperishable, and we will be changed. 53 For the perishable must clothe itself with the imperishable, and the mortal with immortality. 54 When the perishable has been clothed with the imperishable, and the mortal with immortality, then the saying that is written will come true: “Death has been swallowed up in victory” (NIV).
The above text states that when Jesus Christ returns, he will resurrect the dead in Christ as will as transcend the living believers to be with him forever and forever. Death will no longer be a reality for believers.
If the question is whether God can take an individual believer, he can do it but it is unlikely since Jesus’ stated that the believers purpose is to be a witness for him and to make disciples (Acts 1:8, Matt. 28:18–20).
II. The Resurrection and Transportation of Unbelievers to the Judgment of God.
Matthew 24 says this, “But about that day or hour no one knows, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father. 37 As it was in the days of Noah, so it will be at the coming of the Son of Man. 38 For in the days before the flood, people were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, up to the day Noah entered the ark; 39 and they knew nothing about what would happen until the flood came and took them all away. That is how it will be at the coming of the Son of Man. 40 Two men will be in the field; one will be taken and the other left. 41 Two women will be grinding with a hand mill; one will be taken and the other left” (NIV).
Jesus declared that one person will be taken and one will be left behind at his return. The one left behind will enter the kingdom of God while the one taken will be taken to judgment, the sheep and goats (Matt. 25). One group will be excluded from the kingdom and the other group included into the kingdom based on their treatment of Jesus’ follower.
There has been some suggestions that Enoch and Elijah will return to earth as being the two witnesses in Revelation. They will experience death but also resurrection to life and ascension to heaven.
Rev. 11 says this, “Now when they have finished their testimony, the beast that comes up from the Abyss will attack them, and overpower and kill them. 8 Their bodies will lie in the public square of the great city—which is figuratively called Sodom and Egypt—where also their Lord was crucified. 9 For three and a half days some from every people, tribe, language and nation will gaze on their bodies and refuse them burial. 10 The inhabitants of the earth will gloat over them and will celebrate by sending each other gifts, because these two prophets had tormented those who live on the earth. 11 But after the three and a half days the breath[b] of life from God entered them, and they stood on their feet, and terror struck those who saw them. 12 Then they heard a loud voice from heaven saying to them, “Come up here.” And they went up to heaven in a cloud, while their enemies looked on” (NIV).
SUMMARY: The Scriptures states that God will translate or “rapture” believers into his presence at the coming of Jesus Christ. Whether God can or will take an individual believer into his presence as Enoch and Elijah in this era is unknown. It is possible but not probable for believers are waiting for the return of Jesus.
