Thank you for the question on dreams, “I’m a senior Pastor in my church, I had a dream and in the dream a Pastor came and anoint my lips and forehead. What does it mean?”
I would freely admit that I am not a prophet nor a son of a prophet. Thus my comments are from a perspective, NOT THE perspective on one’s dreams. The answer is for one’s consideration.
Here are the possible meaning/interpretations of your dream:
A. One desires to be a great speaker.
B. One desires God to use oneself for a great purpose
C. One is being called by God to do a great work for Him.
D. One desires the empowerment of the Holy Spirit in one’s life.
E. One has to guard one’s tongue as a pastor.
I can’t say which of the above or if any of them apply to you or not. As one reflects on one’s spiritual walk with the Lord, being guided by the Holy Spirit, one may be able to discern how the Spirit of God is speaking to you.
From my perspective, you have already been called by God to shepherd His people and the church in which you are serving has called you to be be their shepherd. Shepherd them well in leading them to become disciples of Jesus Christ (Matt. 28:18–20), not disciples of oneself. Teach and train the members to love the Lord their God with their whole being and to serve Him wholeheartedly. Be a role model before the people. Just don’t tell them what to do, live it before them. Show justice and compassion, walk as Jesus walked and talked with people.
I believe if one lives in the Spirit, the Spirit of God will speak in and through you. It is not “getting” more of the Spirit of God, but letting the Spirit of God “getting” more of you. It is surrendering and yielding to the Spirit. It is no longer I who live but Christ who lives in me. Be a channel from whom the Spirit can use and you will be a blessing to your people. Do not seek fame or fortune from the pulpit. As John the Baptist once said, “He must increase, I must decrease.”
SUMMARY: It is always an honor to be used by the Spirit of God to make a difference in one person’s life. That is enough.
