Thank you for the question on communication, “Do you believe trending people right is better than posting Bible verses online?”
The Scriptures declares that Christians are not to follow man, even a Godly man or woman. The only person believers in Christ is to trend is Jesus Christ and to treasure the Scriptures. There is only Lord for us and the Scriptures are to be cherished and lived out in our lives.
Every Christian writer on Quora or on other platform must guard against seeking followers or upvote on what one writes. For myself, I don’t write to get votes, but my desire is to explain the Word of God as best as I can to help those seeking to gain a better understanding of the Christian faith or the Scriptures.
We all have our favorite pastors or speakers that we listen to on the internet via our cellphone or laptop. Listening to them and hearing their explanation of the Word of God is good, but one must realize that no one has a perfect understanding of the Word nor do we live perfect lives. We are called to compare Scripture with Scripture, not compare individuals with individuals. I am no exception.
In my opinion, posting Scriptures on platform by itself is not fruitful. None Christians know the Bible as well as Christians. They too can quote or post Bible verses. The critical point is not citing verses but taking the time to explain those verse in light of the questions being asked by individuals. Too often, non-Christians have Bible verses cited to them, but care must be taken that it is the right context and not out of context. It is seeking by the grace of God and the guidance of the Holy Spirit in answering that question that may meet a inner need in their life.
SUMMARY: Christians are to trend Jesus Christ and post their writings that help readers to gain a deeper understanding of the our God and the Christian faith.
