Thank you for your question on the Bible offering the solution on life, “How do I know that the Bible is an Instrument of God to save mankind?”
The question is a complex one for the question asks “how”. Here are some thoughts for one’s consideration:
A. The key thought is this, “How does the Scriptures describe the condition of humans? Are humans good, sometime good and bad, bad but not all the time bad, or totally bad?
The Scriptures states the condition of humans in Romans 3:9–20. Depending on one’s answer, one will decide whether the Scriptures are true or false. This is where one has to honest as one looks at humans and oneself. Do I know of anyone who loves his/her neighbor as oneself or do I know of any who doesn’t violate one’s own conscience?
If one’s conclusion is that I do or there must be someone on earth, then the Bible is mulled and void for the Scriptures declare that no one is righteous, not even one. Both can’t be true.
B. The other question is this, “What can I offer to God to redeem mysel?” If I think that I can redeem myself or earn my own salvation, then the Bible is false. Jesus said that I am The Way, The Truth, and The Life. No one can come to the Father except through me. Both can’t be true.
As one ponders life, one will come to his/her own conclusion. The Apostle Paul makes an argument on human condition and God’s solution to man’s sin problem. May I ask that one consider reading Romans 1–8 for one’s consideration of one’s question.
Summary: The Scriptures declare the human condition, what I honestly believe about that condition will determine whether I believe the offer of salvation by God is genuine or not.
