Thank you for the question on replication of the same story in the Bible, “Why are there so many replications of the same story in the Bible from one book to the other?”
The answer is that children tend to imitate the actions or mannerism of their parents. We see ourselves in our children and the children become like us.
It would be expected that the mistakes of Abraham will be copied by Isaac and possibly to Jacob. The Scripture declares that the sin or sins of the fathers or mothers may be passed onto even to the third or fourth generation. It is difficult to break a habit that has become part of our life.
The Biblical records affirms that generational sin is played out again and again unless God intervenes into that person’s life.
Ask yourself, how are you like your parents and in what are your children like you? It’s replication and the Biblical characters had that same flaw as their parents.
