Thank you for the question on morality, “If anyone was 50% good and 50% bad in any way or form (biblical texts etc) would there be a certain place for them to go?”
The person who commits 50% of bad things will spend most of his/her time before a judge and be sentence for more than 50% of the time in jail. It is not a one-to-one exchange or cancellation so that the person comes out innocent.
The expectation of the law is that its citizens obey the laws 100% of the time, all the time. Failure to obey the law once means that that person doesn’t have a perfect driving record.
I once parked the car facing the wrong direction in a residential area and I got a ticket for it. I couldn’t argue before the judge that because I parked the right direction all the other time that the judge dismissed the violation. I had to paid the fine! I parked the car the wrong direction. Period.
SUMMARY: The person who violates the civil law, self-conscience law or the law of God pays the penalty prescribed by the law. There is no cancellation of debt by one’s good deeds.
