Thank you for the interpretation of creation days, “Exodus 20:11 and 31:15 say, “In six days the LORD made the heavens and the earth.” Do “six days” mean literal six days, that is, 24 hours x 6 times?”
Although many Christians hold to a literal six days of creation, I do not hold to that point of view.
As one reads Genesis 1, the first three “days” of creation are not literal twenty- four hours days since the sun and moon were not created until the fourth day It is my understanding that the “days” are the creative acts of God which we call days.
I do not prescribe to the other extreme that the creative days are millions or billions of years. God created the trees and animals over a short period of time. As human beings, we are counting the distance from which light shines from another star or galaxy. In a “stroke” of a paint brush, the galaxies came into existence. We’re measuring distance and time by the metric of speed of light. Who knows, one day the metric of speed of light might not be the measurement. For now, that is the standard, but that might change.
Remember with God there is no time as a clock. There is no “past”, “present” and the “future” with God even though he works in our human time continuum. Without the sun/light or moon, the measurement of time and days are relative as being on Mars or being on Pluto. The hours of a “day” would be different.
SUMMARY: The Creation Days are the “Creative Activity” of God which is called “day” for our human understanding. That just my opinion.
