hank you for the question about Sasquatch on the Ark, “Hey, all you biblical literalists, was Sasquatch on the Ark?”

As a Christian, I was going to pass on this question (even Quora woud have some reservations about the wording of the question).

I presume that one knows that Sasquatch was not on the Ark since that is our modern term for the “large, hairy like man-ape creature. The question is it possible that the genes carried by Noah and his family of 8 and their descendants have on humans.

Here’s some thought on this matter:

A. Depending on one’s view and interpretation of the Nephilim and their appearance (Gen 6:4) .

B. Depending on one’s view and description of Esau as being a “hairy” man (Gen. 25:25). His description was that his whole body was like a hairy garment.

C. Depending on the sexual interaction between humans and animals in particular what we call apes or gorillas that may give rise to a “Sasquatch”. It wasn’t that Sasquatch was on the Ark but the co-mingling of two species could lead to an abnormal man-ape like creature. God strictly forbid humans to have sexual contact with animals as that may affect the appearances of humans.

D. Can it be that such “hairy” individuals were ostracized from the community and their survival was in the woods or forest? The continual inbreeding and lack of language development may have led them to gorilla like lifestyle in the forests. I am not saying that I believe in Sasquatch but hypothetically it may be possible as the “Goliaths” of the Old Testaments.

May I encourage that before one discounts the biblical narrative that one attempt to do one’s due diligence. I am not saying that I am correct but those are possible causes for such a being. Is it a myth? One has to wait for the scientific evidence if any can be found of such a person.

SUMMARY: Sasquatch was not on the Ark, but his genes may have been on the Ark.
