As I thought about your question, here is one thing for your consideration.
In the creation narrative of the rising of the land mass from submerged waters is something few if any would have believed it.
A. Bible asserts that the landmass arose from the ocean floor.
The reasoning is that geologist believe that tectonic shifts caused the landmass to arise. This is not disputed.
Additionally, there are more geologists believe that that the landmass was once beneath the ocean floor due to seashells found on mountain tops as Himalyians, the Rocky Mountains, the Andes Mountains.
B. Bible asserts that the landmass was one “continent” that separated later.
Geologist believe that as tropical roots in Antarctica has been discovered may or would indicate that this continent and others were once one landmass.
C. Bible asserts that water receded into the earth’s crust.
Recently, geologists think that there may be a body or bodies of water in the earth’s crust.
In the last two hundred years or so, few scholars would have believed the Bible declarations or assertions is scientifically accurate. Today there is paused. Paleontologist also believe that the climate was once tropical was which the Bible implies due to earth’s atmosphere.
SUMMARY: Maybe there’s something to the biblical narrative at least to the earth’s landscape.
