Thank you for the question on understanding the Bible, “I’m getting better at knowing how to read the Bible and understanding it. Why is that?”

Here are some thoughts for your consideration:

A. It may be because you have incline or open your heart and spirit to want to understand the Bible. It is no longer just an obligation or duty to read the Bible.

B. It may be because the Spirit of God is working in your heart and spirit causing you to come to a deeper realization of who God is and what Jesus has done for you.

C. It may be because you are taking more time to think about what you are reading than just looking at the letters or words of the Bible. You are seeing relevance of the Bible to your life.

D. It may be because you are applying better Bible study method in your reading, observing the context and content of the passage that you are reading. Your observation and interpretation has increased while seeing the interconnection of the Bible.

E. It may be because you are growing in your searching for the truth or growing in your spiritual life.

A seed has been planted in your heart and spirit. The Bible has become a little spring that is nurturing your soul and spirit. That little spring may become a gushing spring if you allow the Word to grow deeper into your soul and spirit.

SUMMARY: You have found spiritual food that nourishes your spiritual soul and spirit.
