Thank you for the question about Ravi Zacharias, “What do you think of Ravi Zacharias owning a massage parlor?”
I read briefly reports that Ravi Zacharias had invested into a massage parlor. The ownership of a spa or massage parlor is not immoral in itself depending on whether it was a genuine spa or a disguise for immoral conduct. I also read of allegations of sexual misconduct by him to employees of that spa/massage parlor.
I do not know whether Ravi Zacharias was a sexual predator or not. If the report is true, he is not the first Christian who has fallen into immorality. The rise of fame for many Christians, the constant traveling and speaking engagements, separation from one’s spouse leads to temptation of sexual misconduct. I am not saying this as a justification for violating one’s faithfulness to one’s wife or condoning his conduct.
Each person will give an account of his own thoughts and actions before the Lord. God will judge his heart and his actions. Both Christians and non-Christians can hide their addictions or immoral conduct from others but one can’t hide it from God. Christians are sinners saved by grace. It is only upon submitting to the Spirit of God that one can overcome one’s needs and addictions.
SUMMARY: Ownership of a business is not a sin but what one does with that business and how one operates in that business can be God honoring or dishonoring to God.
