Thank for your question, “Did eating from tree of knowledge cause a new viewpoint in which we literally lost vision of God’s kingdom? Do we partially see from Satan’s point of view while we are in this test? Is this where Satan’s authority comes from?”
When Adam and Eve ate the forbidden fruit from the Garden of Eden, God excluded them from the Garden of Eden. The result was that Adam and Eve with their descendants had to established their own kingdom. They had to work the soil.
Genesis 3 says this, “23 So the Lord God banished him from the Garden of Eden to work the ground from which he had been taken.”
The peaceful state in the Garden of Eden was lost with man having to work the soil. With the abundance of animals, man learned to hunt and eat them. The knowledge of good and evil began to grow within him as he learned to conquer his environment. He began to take from the earth and use it for his own advantage. The knowledge of killing animals by different means led to man expanding that knowledge how to kill humans. Instead of caring for the earth, humans began to abuse and even destroy the earth. Humans and animals learn about the survival of the fittest.
Satan took advantage of human’s desire for survival by causing him to think of accumulating land and possessions to ensure one’s successful existence on earth. There was no longer any thought about the Kingdom of God, but his own kingdom by establishing his own boundaries and rules. Man has been and continues to plan and plot how to establish one’s own success on earth. And what do humans gain at the end of his life? Nothing at all.
SUMMARY: Eating the forbidden fruit caused humans to establish their own little kingdom on earth. Satan has blinded the eyes of man of God’s kingdom for his own kingdom.
