Thank you for the question on End Times Prophecies being or have been fulfilled, “What are all the correct end time predictions the Bible has made so far?”
As I read the above question, the question is fraught with dangers with the words, “all”, “correct”, and “made so far.” It presumes that the writers know everything prophesy and can determine whether it is fully or partially fulfilled. One may be aware that Christians have differing positions and interpretation on eschatology.
In consideration of the question, it will be my presumption that the “End Time” prophesy that will not be contested will be Scripture verses that begins after 70 CE for discussion purposes. Since I have answered a similar question before, here are some verses for one’s consideration:
A. Matthew 24:14 says this, “And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in the whole world as a testimony to all nations, and then the end will come” (A searchable online Bible in over 150 versions and 50 languages). Bible citations are from the New International Version.
When this prophecy was made by Jesus, the fulfillment of this declaration, prophecy was not fulfilled in the first century. Today the Gospel of Salvation has been nearly translated or preached in every nation and in most people group. Wycliffe Bible Translators are doing a great work in translating spoken languages to their written language.
B. Matthew 28:18–20 says this, “Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20 and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age” (NIV).
When this prophecy or declaration was made by Jesus, the only disciples were in Israel. The making of disciples of all nation has not even begun. Today there are disciples in every continent and nearly every island in our world. The Gospel is being preached to nearly every people group within each nation.
C. Matthew 28:30 says this, “Then will appear the sign of the Son of Man in heaven. And then all the peoples of the earth will mourn when they see the Son of Man coming on the clouds of heaven, with power and great glory” (NIV).
When this declaration or prophecy was made by Jesus, no one could imagine that it is possible for all the peoples of the earth will see the Son of Man coming on the clouds of heaven. Everyone thought that it is impossible for Jesus to be seen by all the world’s people at one time. Today that is not only possible but absolutely true. Any news can be seen or transmitted to any part of the world provided that they have the internet or radio. Whether one believes Jesus will return or not is not the point, but the emphasis is the world’s people can hear any news immediately and be replayed for later viewing. Technology has made that possible today.
Those three declarations or prophecies are not disputed today. Is the Scriptures being fulfilled? It is in my opinion. Is it fulfilled? No, not yet but every indication that it will more than likely to be fulfilled.
Here are some lesser or more questioned prophecies in its infancy form:
A. Revelation 13 says this, “16 It also forced all people, great and small, rich and poor, free and slave, to receive a mark on their right hands or on their forehead…” (NIV).
When this declaration was made by the Apostle John that something/someone forced all people to do something, that seemed possible for the Romans were the rulers of the known world. Today, we know that the world is lot larger than the Roman Empire with undiscovered continents or islands to the Roman world. Is it possible that someone or something can force everyone to do something against their will? The Covid pandemic may be the beginning of such a proclamation for the well-being of the whole world. With the United Nations and the World Court, such a proclamation is both possible and even probable. A world crisis will call for a world action of one response.
B. Revelation 13:17 says this, “to receive a mark on his right hand or on his forehead 17 so that they could not buy or sell unless they had the mark, which is the name of the beast or the number of its name” (NIV).
When this declaration or prophecy was made by the Apostle John, branding was the only means to make a mark on someone’s body. The Apostle John declares that without this mark or number there is a restriction of buying or selling. The scholars questioned how is that mark equated with buying and selling. Today with chips that is inserted to pets for identification, that step to chipping people isn’t too far fretch. As our society moves toward a cashless society with credit/debit cards, the placement of the chip with the mark of the beast may become a bases of controlling commerce in a world crisis. Credit/debit card is world wide recognized form of buying and selling. To prevent the thief of credit/debit card, the insertion of a chip which can download one’s medical and or even financial records is within the realm of possibility. Amazon already has cashless grocery stores. One can see aspects of this prophecy being formed or implemented in its infancy stage.
Are there others prophecy as the formation of the 10 kingdoms, the rise of the Eastern Power that crosses the Euphrates with an incredible army is now possible with the Asian countries, the Southern Power with the Arabs, the Northern Power that may include Russia and the Western Power of the Greek-Roman Empire are all within the realm of an End Time prophecy. The return of the Jews to the Promised Land in forming again a country may be the beginning of End Times. The rebuilding of the Temple is being prepared by the orthodox Jews with all its priestly garments and furnitures.
The question asked if there are prophecies that has already been fulfilled. The End Times prophecies are being fulfilled in our lifetime, but one can’t say that it has been fulfilled except for the technology of the world seeing or knowing an event that is news worthy.
If one is looking for a reason to reject the Bible, one doesn’t need to look at unfulfilled prophecies, but if one is looking for reasons to believe the Bible, Bible prophecies is something to consider. I trust my citations of Scriptures is fair and balance.
SUMMARY: The spreading of the Gospel and the making of disciples of the world’s people is a very good argument of prophecy being fulfilled in our lifetime.
